vs Carshalton Athletic A Friendly 1-3 Kayumbe att 211
A game of two halves the first in which Carshalton were much the better and via Jolly "30 plus goals last
season" with a run on to a through ball on 35 minutes, and Ide in from the left on 44 minutes gave the Robins a deserved 2-0
lead at the break. Redbridge having only had a copuple of chances in the first half began to open up the home defence in the
second half, despite this another Jolly effort found its way in off the post on 58 minutes. The Redbridge goal came as Kayumbe
was through on goal and was brought down in the box, he scored the penalty which perked up the blues.
The rest of the half saw Redbridge match last seasons top 6 premier finishes and this seasons favourites
for promotion but alas couldn't score another.
vs Barkingside H Soccer Club Swap Shop Trophy 3-2 Turner, Kayumbe, Jesus att

A competative match for the Trophy which saw Redbridge edge the tie 3-2. Redbridge started in the attack
but Barkingside were defending well and it was not until the 23rd minute that a cross ball from Edmunds found Turner who headed
in the opener.
Five minutes later Barkingside were level as a clash resulting in players injured occurred as Tolan put
a ball through to Ross who levelled. The only other noticable opportunity came from Kayumbe who headed over for redbridge.
The second half began with both sides competing well and on 53 minutes Diaczuk was pulled down allowing Kayumbe to hit home
the penalty, 2-1. On 70 minutes substitute Jesus ran through onto a good ball and thumped home to give Redbridge a 3-1 lead,
however Barkingside came flying back and Heffner scored a rocket 20 yarder to ensure a nervous last few minutes but Redbridge
held their heads to win the Trophy 3-2.
vs Wingate & Finchley H 0-0 att 60
A hot and sunny day marked the opening match of the 2009-10 league season, a match that had few events
to spark it into life. The total sum of the excitement consisted of a Chase effort over the bar in the first half for
Wingate, and a Bruce shot saved by Wingate custodian King, the secondf half had little more apart from a Nelson header saved
by the Motormen keeper, and a Bruce header just clear towards the end of this encounter.
vs Potters Bar Town A 2-0 Bruce 2 att 41
A match which saw Redbridge under pressure for much of the match as Bar pushed up, with Watson having 2
efforts on the crossbar. Bruce was the hero for Redbridge as a handball saw him dispatch the resultant penalty on 74 minutes,
then he add a second goal from open play 3 minutes later to ensure Redbridge took the 3 points.
vs East Thurrock Utd A 0-2 att 157
Redbridge were well and truely beaten by an efficient United, the rot set in early infact the opening goal
coming within the first minute as Boyce outpaced everyone to drive a shot goalwards which McCartney parried for Smith to tap
in. On 17 minutes Boyce again outpaced the defence and chipped over the Redbridge keeper 2-0. A Donavon header from a
Newby cross ensured that East Thurrock had won the points by half time with a 3-0 lead.
The second half saw further efforts from Newby, Boyce and Donavon but no more goals.
vs Enfield Town H 1-1 Diaczuk att 157
A close and hard fought battle between two good footballing sides saw a 1-1 result prevail.
Redbridge started the brighter with Bruce and Diaczuk coming close to opening the scoring whilst Blackburne
was causing problems with the home defence. The opening goal came on 34 minutes as good play by Bruce and Ross saw Diaczuk
score. Further chances during the game fell to Bruce who shot just wide, and Matson who went just over the bar. The
equaliser came on 70 minutes when Minniti hit home to make it 1-1. As the game wore on the play became more controlled and
based in midfield to see a final score of 1-1.
vs Romford FA Cup H 0-1 att 128
Redbridge crashed out of the FA cup at the first hurdle once again. This time against Romford who won the
match with a free kick from Nelson early in the first half. Try as the Motors might and despite the constant efforts of Bruce
the equaliser never came and it was Romford that went through to face Concord.
vs Cheshunt A 0-2 att 155
Two second half goals from the hosts was enough to see off Redbridge in this league encounter.
vs Heybridge Swifts H 0-0 att 74
A match which Redbridge should of won but managed to waste chances galore. Bruce had a hatful of opportunities
but the side netting, the crossbar, and the keeper came to the rescue. Substitute Jesus also came close and Okojie ran
the opposition defence ragged, but alas no goals.
vs Harlow Town A 3-3 Diaczuk, Georgiou, Oniha att 164
Jay Devereau having resigned 48 hours earlier led to Dave Ross the Capital League side manager taking over.
Wether that shock was still apparent or not Redbridge went 2-0 down through Robinson, and Mason on 8 and 47 minutes, side
footing a marker, & strolling in. However in 3 minutes Diaczuk slipped his marker to score from close, then Georgiou lobbed
the keeper followed by Oniha pouncing on a defensive error, after 58, 59, and 60 minutes to put Redbridge 3-2 up. Harlow
however pulled a goal back through Akinnawu getting on the end of a rebound on 70 minutes.
vs Tilbury H 2-2 Diaczuk 2 att 58
Redbridge got off to a flier and opened the scoring after 9 minutes as Diaczuk slotted home, but had to
wait until Diaczucs second goal on 52 minutes for a follow up. Oniha then was sent off and Gorby scored Tilburys
opener with 3 minutes to go, and 5 minutes later the escape was completed as Knipha scored to make the final score 2-2.
vs Lowestoft T A 1-4 Diaczuk att 642
The FA Trophy run ended at the first fence to a pwerful and mobile Town side. The first 30 minutes saw the
away side take the game to Lowestoft but unable to breach the defence it was Nolan on 25 minutes that gave town the lead pouncing
on a defensive error. He added the second 2 minutes before half time to put Lowestoft in a strong position by the break. The
Redbridge side came out battling in the second half and a through ball from Oniha saw Diaczuk shot past the incumbent keeper
on 52 minutes to make it 1-2. It was then a battle royal as both sides created chances until McGee a tap in, and Finch
scored for Lowestoft on 83 and 86 minutes to take the score to 4-1.
vs Ilford A 2-3 Diaczuk Peddie att 57
Redbridge slumped to a defeat in a poor showing at Ilford, the opening came on 41 minutes as Scott scored.
Redbridge only pressurized with long shots which were easily dealt with. After 53 minutes Omogbehin added the second only
for Diaczuk to score from the spot on 63 minutes, and Peddie to make it 2-2 on 81 minutes. The match then played out but Gallen
managed to score from close in with 2 minutes to go to give Ilford a 3-2 win.
vs Northwood A 3-1 Daiczuk 2, Agdomar att 47
Northwood started brightly and restricted Redbridge to limited efforts. However on 42 minutes Peacock fouled
in the box and Daiczuk slotted home. Redbridge continued to attack and Oniha had another effort on goal just wide. Agdomar
then pounced on a loose ball in the area and slotted in to make it 2-0 to Redbridge. The second half saw much of the same
and this time Diaczuk scored the penalty from a Seeby foul after 62 minutes. Three minutes later Christian from Northwood
was sent off and then on 73 minutes Hewitt pulled a goal back for Northwood but that was the sum total as Redbridge claimed
a 3-1 win.
vs Thamesmead Town H 1-2 Gillingham att 53
Redbridge started the brighter and Gillingham edges them into a 21st minute lead, but as the game wore on
Mead came more into the game and on 52 minutes cabled levelled the game at 1-1. With Cable adding his second and Agdomar being
sent off it ended a poor day for Redbridge as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat.
vs Brentwood T A 0-2 att 94
Redbridge sucummed to a 2-0 defeat against Town who scored one on 70 minutes and Lee added his
second just before time. Redbridge matched their hosts much of the time but Nougher being sent off did not help their cause.
The first half saw little goalmouth action but both Habu, and Reed came close for Redbridge. Lee got in on a rebound from
Lay to head in on 70 minutes and he finished off with a super left foot effort to make it 2-0.
vs Southend Manor A 4-3 Read 2, Nougher, Gillingham att 44
Redbridge came back from 2-0 down to win 4-3 with a brace of goals from Read, one penalty from Nougher,
and a goal from Gillingham.
vs Concord Rangers H 2-0 Georgiou, Read att 67
A heroic display from McCarthey ensured Redbridge claimed the points against high flying Concord.
Rangers started well with keeper McCarthey saving from Hall and Carlisle but on 24 minutes Read laid the
ball off to Georgious who swept the ball home for Redbridge s opener. The Redbridge keeper continued to repell boarders as
he saved from Carlisle, Hall and Begg in the second period only for Redbridge to ensure the points as Read turned and
shot past brightly to make it 2-0 to the home side on 84 minutes.
vs Harlow T LC H 2-3 AET Ross att 44
It was a match that Harlow appearee more interested in as Cleaver 34 and Edwards 74 gave Harlow a 2-0 lead.
Not until the last 10 mintes did Redbridge wakwe up and Ross with goals on 80 and 83 minutes take the tie into extra time
only for Pelley score a 107th minute for Town.
vs Maldon Town H 1-3 Diaczuk att 31
A determined display by Maldon Town saw off Redbridge in this league fixture. Develty opened the scoring
for Town on 9 minutes and Jeffries stormed home the second deserved goal on 17 minutes. Both sides then put together some
good moves but it was Develty who added a third town goal 3 minutes before half time to kill off the match. A consolation
penalty on 88 minutes was all Redbridge had to show for their efforts as leading scorer Diaczuk put it away
vs Ware A 2-2 Georgiou, Diaczuk att 91
This was considered to be 2 points dropped as Redbridge reached 86 minutes winning 2-1 but a defensive error
saw a late Ware equaliser. The opener on 32 minutes saw Georgiou skip past two tackles and deliver the ball in the back
of the Ware net.
Wade then hit a 37th minute equaliser to make it 1-1 at half time.The weather deteriated but on 50 minutes
Diaczuk made it 2-1 as Redbridge were well in control of the game, Cole then almost made it 3-1 before on 86 minutes Adams
with a poor back pass was gratefully recieved by Turner to slot it past McCartney in the Redbridge goal to make
it 2-2
vs Cheshunt H 1-0 Cole att 48
A dour match in which both sides managed to defend well and cancell each other out. It took a special
effort by Cole to breach the Cheshunt defence and score what was the winning goal.
vs Heybridge Swifts A 0-4 att 118
Redbridge were given a football lesson by Swifts as they fell to a 4-0 defeat by the Essex coast. On 20
minutes Malton opened the scoring from an acute angel and on 40 minutes Adejokun recieved a decent pass from Malton who turned
to provider to finish and put Swifts deservedly 2-0 up.
The second half saw little change as Morgan on 63 minutes, and Malton on 83 minutes ensured a decent 4-0
win for Heybridge Swifts.
vs Colchester United ESC A 1-3 Diaczuk att
A brave showing from a young Redbridge team as they fell 3-1 at Us. Colchester began well and opened the
scoring after 6 mintes as McCluskey went to the byline and crossed for Pavett to head home. Ten minutes later it was 2-0 as
a Thomas free kick found its way past Durrell in the Redbridge goal. On 30 minutes Elito had a shot blocked on the line, then
Redbridge began to take the game to thie opponents and some good football was played without creating any full chances. The
second half saw Redbridge open up the United defence on a number of occassions and midway through the half a ball from Read
who had sailed past the defence saw Diaczuk well positioned to score a goal for Redbridge. Colchester however clinched the
tie as Povett lay the ball to Arnott who hit past Durrell to make it 3-1 to Colchester United late on.
vs Lowestoft T H 0-5 att 100
Redbridge were well beaten by a far superior side in this Isthmian League battle however it was not until
the second half that Towns superiority showed through. The first half saw both sides create few chances as defences ruled except
a seventh minute goal as Mitchels free kick found its way into the Redbridge net. the second period was a very different
story as Lowestoft ran riot as both Nolan 60 & 89 and Cockerill 81 & 90 hit doubles to see the away side to a
5-0 win.
vs Brimsdown R LSC A 1-4 Habu att 62
Redbridge were well beaten by Spartan South Midland League Brimsdown on a cold wet evening. Rovers opened
up the scoring on 19 minutes as Hughes hit home on 19 minutes, Habu then had a chance to level but after rounding the Rovers
keeper saw the ball snatched of his toe. He made amends on 31 minutes however heading in from a cross. The second half
saw Rovers in control apart from a Habu miss just wide and Edmunds blasting over, and on 55 minutes Lewis made it 2-1. On
83 minutes a well worked goal saw Webb make it 3-1 and kill off Redbridge with the final tally being racked up by Gacanli
on the whistle 4-1.
vs Tilbury A 1-2 Edmunds att 65
A month to the day since Redbridges last fixture saw the Motors continue their loosing form, although it
looked bright early on as Edmunds beat Hall in the Dockers goal to put Redbridge 1-0 up on 5 minutes. Domination slowly changed
to being dominated but it took until 55 minutes for Tilbury to level as a Barnett cross found Wallace and he promptly dispatched
the ball into the net, Tilbury had to wait until the 75th minute when Taylor headed in the all important winning goal to make
it 2-1.
